Recognized as one of the great names in Brazilian contemporary art, Luiz Zerbini will be the subject of a free lecture on May 21, at 17 pm, at A.Galeria, located in Passeio Primavera, in Florianópolis. The meeting will be led by professor and art critic Dr. Luciane Garcez and will take place in parallel with the exhibition “Saudade do Mundo Pequeno”, on display at the space until July 12.
The lecture proposes a deep dive into Zerbini's artistic career, connecting his production to the exhibition on display as part of his artistic and affective memory investigations. With a sensitive and thought-provoking approach, Luciane will invite the audience to perceive how, in his works, the landscape plays a central role — observed as if under a magnifying glass, revealing details and nuances that usually escape the eye.
This is a universe of colors and sensations by Zerbini, which allows the viewer to reflect on their own landscapes, memories and affections. Known for moving between painting, photography, drawing and installation, the artist investigates relationships between nature, culture and time, transforming everyday life into aesthetic material.
The meeting is free, subject to prior registration via the link, and is aimed at visual arts enthusiasts, regardless of their training or level of knowledge, with the aim of expanding access to the Brazilian contemporary art scene.
