The Camerata Florianópolis, conducted by maestro Jeferson Della Rocca and solos by singers Carla Domingues, Débora Almeida, Guilherme Albanaes, Fernando De Carli and the great Lyric Choir, prepared by Albanaes, will perform on March 7th, at 20:30 pm, at Teatro Ademir Rosa (CIC), the anniversary concert “Camerata 30 Anos". The chosen masterpiece is one of the grandest and most captivating in classical music: Beethoven's Symphony No. 9. The choice was not in vain, as 2024 marks the 200 years of the first performance of the work.

The Ninth Symphony was performed only twice by the Camerata, in 2009 and 2011. The theme of the fourth movement of the work – called Ode to Joy – is certainly the best known in classical music and was declared the anthem of the European Union. For the performance on March 7, around 120 musicians will be on stage.  

The concert, produced by Maria Elita Pereira, was made possible with the sponsorship of Fort Atacadista and Engie, and tickets are on sale on the Blueticket website and at the Camerata headquarters.
