
National Italian Immigrant Day is celebrated on February 21st and, according to data from the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2022), it is estimated that there are around 30 million Italian descendants in Brazil. To celebrate this special date, which turns 150 years old in 2024, the Florianopolis Camerata, on February 28th, starting at 20:30 pm, will present the show “Italian Music Classics”, at the CIC Theater. Tickets are now available on Blueticket and at the Orchestra headquarters.
Conducted by maestro Jeferson Della Rocca, the program covers different styles of Italian music, from opera with the aria “Nessun Dorma”, regional music such as “Funiculì Funiculà”, to the pop rock of Eros Ramazzotti, “Cose della Vitta”. In addition to the orchestra musicians, the base band formed by Dudu Pimentel (guitar), João Peters (bass), Cristiano Forte (drums) and Alberto Heller (piano) and the singers Laura Padaratz, Joana Castanheira, Fernando De Carli and Gerard Macapagal. The arrangements are by pianist Alberto Heller and executive production is by Maria Elita Pereira.
