The work of one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century will receive a special tribute next Thursday (16) by Camerata Florianópolis. Under the direction of maestro Jeferson Della Rocca, the orchestra will take to the stage of Teatro Ademir Rosa (CIC), at 8 pm, to present the show "Special Astor Piazzolla". Tickets are on sale at the Blueticket website.
The concert pays tribute to the Argentinian composer and bandoneon player who revolutionized the history of tango by incorporating elements of classical music and jazz into the genre's tradition. With an innovative musical language, Piazzolla broke boundaries and took his work to the world's main stages, becoming one of the most influential Latin American artists in concert and popular music.
On stage, the Camerata Florianópolis brings together soloists who take on prominent roles alongside the orchestra. They are: pianist Alberto Heller, violinist Iva Giracca, cellist Ernesto Guimarães Medolla, violist Leonardo Piermartiri, and accordionist Roger Corrêa.
