A Santa Catarina Philharmonic Orchestra (OFiC) is the newest orchestra in Santa Catarina, focused on sustainability, social inclusion, education and innovation, valuing art. The inaugural concert called "Lumina Ignis - Light and Transformation" takes place on June 26, Starting at 19h, at the Ademir Rosa Theater (CIC) and will be conducted by one of the greatest conductors of our time, Roberto Minczuk, head of the São Paulo Municipal Symphony Orchestra and Musical Director of the New Mexico Philharmonic (USA).
In addition, there will also be a special appearance by Brazilian soprano Maria Carla Pino Cury and Argentine tenor Santiago Martinez. In a combination of image, light and music, the presentation features classic and contemporary masterpieces from different musical styles such as baroque, romantic and contemporary.
It features classics by artists Edino Krieger, Jacques Offenbach, Christoph Willibald Gluck and Georg Händel, as well as Symphony No. 3 In E Flat Major, Op. 55, “EROICA”, by Beethoven, and the world premiere by composer Elodie Bouny.
Furthermore, it honors the 200 years of German immigration in Brazil and the 195 years in Santa Catarina.
The input is frank, but the event is charitable, as it seeks to help flood victims in Rio Grande do Sul with voluntary donations of food, winter clothing and hygiene products. The classification is free and the opening will be at 18pm.
