The musician and composer Merry Correa meets this Thursday (1st) with artists from the independent scene in Florianópolis for the opening of CREATE!, a project that promotes musical encounters and creation. The program takes place at Bugio Trindade and will feature a composition workshop in the afternoon and a free soirée in the evening.
The 13:30 pm - 17:30 pmAlegre leads a Collective Composition WorkshopThis workshop, aimed at professional musicians, students, and artists, proposes the creation of a group piece based on the participants' references, working with elements such as melody, harmony, rhythm, improvisation, and arrangement. Spaces are limited.
At 19:30The project promotes a Soirée of Original Music, open to the public and with free admission. Participants AMAR, François Muleka, Cláudia Rivera, Raphael Galcer, Gabriela Corrêa and Negro Rudhy, artists who move through different languages and genres, such as Brazilian music, choro, samba, rap, experimentation and Latin American references.
Based in Florianópolis, Alegre Corrêa built part of his career in Europe, where he was a member of the Vienna Art Orchestra and worked with musicians such as Joe Zawinul. CRIE! aims to connect this experience with the original work produced in the capital city.
