The show "The Garden of the Flowering Poets" premieres on November 29th, starting at 19 pm, at the Ubro Theater, in downtown Florianópolis.
Starring Táta Tedesco and Rhaniel Daux, the play written and directed by Welington Moraes, portrays a dystopian future, where art has been banned, and those who carry the artistic flame are persecuted.
According to the synopsis, in a gray and oppressive society, the plot tells the story of Erato, "a doctor in charge of "purifying" creative souls". He meets Iliad, "a poet who bravely resists attempts to erase her essence".
She then "challenges him to a confrontation of ideas, art and feelings, bringing a philosophical journey that crosses the dangerous territory of passion".
Through intense dialogue and visual and sound metaphors, the work invites us to reflect on the essence of humanity and brings a manifesto for the freedom of the creative soul.
Furthermore, it provokes the public with a message about resistance and the transformative power of art.
