The Franz Cabaret Festival welcomes the duo Pavel Kazarian and Gabriel Vieira this Saturday, June 20th, with a repertoire that blends classical, jazz, and rock. Throughout the concert, piano and violin will guide the audience through hits by Vivaldi, Metallica, the Beatles, and other artists.
The event takes place at Praça Carl Hoepcke Franz Cabaret, in downtown Florianópolis, starting at 17:30 PM on Saturday. The shows begin at 18:30 PM and admission is free.
about the artists
Pavel Kazarian is a Russian pianist and director of the Bolshoi Theatre School in Brazil. He was a judge on the "Dancing with the Stars" segment of TV Globo, is the artistic director of the Prêmio Desterro, and has received accolades such as the Cultural Merit Award from the Brazilian Confederation of Letters and Arts.
Alongside him is Gabriel Vieira, a UDESC graduate, who studied jazz and Brazilian music in Paris. In 2022, he won second place at the Seifert Jazz Violin Competition in Poland, one of the most important international festivals.
The partnership between the two artists has already resulted in the album. Rivers, winner of the Best Instrumental Album award from Santa Catarina in 2018. The duo also released a new music video in collaboration with Camerata Florianópolis.
