The renowned piece Oh Pai, with renowned actor Fúlvio Stefanini, takes place in Ademir Rosa Theater (CIC), in the Agronômica neighborhood, in Florianópolis.
Marked for June 14th and 15th, Friday and Saturday, from 20:3 pm0, the show tells the story of André, an 80-year-old, grumpy and somewhat funny man, who is beginning to become disabled and lose his memory.
Because of this, his daughter is faced with a dilemma: whether she should take him to live with her and hire a nurse to help her take care of him or whether she should admit him to a nursing home so that she can enjoy life with her new boyfriend. .
In a humorous and poetic tone, the play deals with the moving theme with sensitivity and lightness. Furthermore, it reflects on life issues, such as aging, family life and decisions.
The play, written by Frenchman Florian Zeller, has been performed in more than 30 countries and received awards in England and France.
Furthermore, it was chosen by The Guardian newspaper as "play of the year" in 2014. It was also adapted into the film "The Father" in 2020, which won the Oscar for best actor and adapted screenplay.
