The Latino Ibérico show, based on the homonymous album by accordionist and composer Roger Corrêa, arrives at Teatro Álvaro de Carvalho (TAC), on June 21 (Saturday), at 20 pm, lasting 90 minutes.
O spectacle rescues southern Brazilian music, developing its own accents in styles such as milonga, chamamé, chacarera, candombe, tango, salsa and choro.
With the universal aesthetics of jazz, it values composition, the fundamentals of improvisation and innovation in the research of new styles and fusions of genres.
Along with Edilson Forte (piano), Tiê Pereira (bass) and Rodrigo Porciúncula (drums), the quartet was the only Brazilian representative at the Jazzahead showcase festival, one of the largest jazz events in Europe, held in Germany. The quartet also performed in Spain and Italy.
