After the concert that brought together António Zambujo and Yamandu Costa, in Lisbon, Portugal, in celebration of 200 years of Brazilian Independence, celebrating the harmony between two peoples in a symbiosis of Lusophone rhythms, the two artists are now coming together for new shows, continuing to tread the common path that unites them.
António Zambujo is one of the greatest contemporary artists, authors and performers of Portuguese music and language, and one of its most notable ambassadors in the world. By incorporating influences from the Brazilian songbook, in particular Bossa Nova, he broke down borders, real and imaginary, bringing the 2 sides of the Atlantic together. With that, his music, first forged in the tradition of Cante Alentejano and Fado, created a unique personality and inspired a new cycle in Portuguese music.
Acclaimed by critics, Yamandu Costa has enchanted audiences everywhere he takes his unusual skill and sound. With unforgettable performances – solo, accompanied by other musicians or with orchestras – he bears the mark of music from the south of the American continent, but moves admirably between different musical genres, forming a rare symbiosis with his seven-string guitar.
