One of the most important extreme metal bands, responsible for the consolidation of an entire musical genre, Napalm death returns to Latin America in October. The newest date confirmed by the British quartet is in Florianópolis, on October 24th (Thursday), at Célula Showcase. For the opening, Flageladör and goregrind legend Flesh Grinder were confirmed.
The presentation in the capital of Santa Catarina replaces the date previously scheduled for Porto Alegre, which remains in a complicated situation after the floods. Due to logistical issues and the lack of expected return to normal operations at Salgado Filho airport. Napalm death
Napalm Death is known for its brutal and fast performances, and emerged in the 1980s as a punk band, which evolved its music at ultrasonic levels, relying on the unbridled speed of the drums and unintelligible screams. With a bold musical recipe, the group became the most important reference of the style that has been consolidated since then: grindcore. Albums like Scum and From Enslavement to Obliteration founded an entire scene.
However, the band never stopped daring and testing new sounds. At the start of the 1990s, they flirted with raw death metal, groove metal and even rap, and entered the current millennium with a reinvigorated sound, with classics such as Enemy of the Music Business (2002) and The Code is Red …Long Live the Code (2005).
Napalm Death, over the last 35 years, has released 17 studio albums, the most recent being Throes of Joy in the Jaws of Defeatism (2020), in addition to the EP Resentment Is Always Seismic – A Final Throw of Throes (2022), which surprise by showing even more broad sounds that elevate the group's sound to another level.
