Having lived in Brooklyn, an artistic and cultural hub in New York, for 30 years, Vinícius Cantuária is in Brazil and is coming to Florianópolis, with a show on Friday the 20th and Saturday the 21st at Jazzinn, the stage for national artists in the city. He will be with the band O Café Trio, another reference in the Brazilian music scene, in a program full of bossa, samba, pop, jazz and MPB. On both days, starting at 20:30 pm.
With a long international career, Vinícius Cantuária has worked with Arto Lindsay, Laurie Anderson, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Sean Lennon, David Byrne, and Norah Jones. In Brazil, he was the drummer in the band O Terço, and performed with Gilberto Gil, Marina Lima, Chico Buarque, Luiz Melodia, Marcos Valle, and Caetano Veloso – with whom he toured as a member of A Outra Banda da Terra in the late 1970s.
