The show "Travessia," by singer, songwriter, and percussionist Tainá Santos, will be presented on October 10th at the Teatro de Arena Multiuso in São José, Greater Florianópolis. The performance proposes a musical and emotional journey that connects the artist's trajectory, uniting ancestry, memory, Afro-Brazilian spirituality, and manifestations of national music.
Born in Embu das Artes (SP) and raised in a Candomblé temple, Tainá began her relationship with drums at the age of seven. The show serves as a bridge between two moments in her career: her debut album, "Tambores que Cantam" (2021), and the album "ADÊ" (2025). The performance explores the passage between past, present and future through axé, percussive force and the delicacy of her melodies.
Accompanied by five musicians with arrangements ranging from ijexás and samba de roda to traditional songs and contemporary sounds, the artist seeks to transform the stage into a large celebratory circle. The event invites the audience to immerse themselves in the journey, experiencing a sensory journey that connects different times, memories, and rhythms of Black and Brazilian culture.
