After 18 years away from Brazilian stages, the acclaimed Argentinian dancer and choreographer Mora Godoy returns to the country for a single performance of her show. Mora Godoy and La Máquina Tanguera, scheduled for July 26th at 19 PM, at Arena Opus, in São José.
Internationally recognized as one of the leading figures in contemporary tango, Mora brings to the public a show that combines tradition and innovation. The new production incorporates, for the first time, artificial intelligence applied to the choreography, expanding the scenic possibilities without losing the essence and emotion characteristic of the genre.
On stage, the artist will be accompanied by the La Máquina Tanguera company, made up of internationally renowned dancers, and by the voice of Marcos Tamborenea. The show also pays special tribute to Ico Godoy, the artist's father and mentor, in a moment marked by the screening of a moving video set to the sound of "Adiós Nonino," a classic by Astor Piazzolla.
Creator of globally successful productions, such as Tangerine e Chantecler TangoMora Godoy has consolidated her career through a language that combines technical virtuosity, acrobatics, speed, and a unique way of telling stories through dance. With more than two decades dedicated to spreading tango around the world, the artist is considered one of the most important figures in the current tango scene.
