Edith Piaf's music was not confined to the time in which it was created. It paved the way, influenced artists, and helped build one of the most recognizable identities in French music. It is precisely along this path that Rendez Vous - A Festa invites the public to walk on September 5th, at 21:30 PM, at Delfino 146, in Florianópolis, with the show "Edith on the Trail of Piaf". Tickets are available on the Pensanoevento website.
In an approximately two-hour performance, singer Edith Gondin leads a musical narrative that revisits different moments in Piaf's career through her works. For this evening, she will be accompanied by Juninho Uhlig (piano), Márcio Millani (bass), and Mauro Borghesan (drums), in a formation designed to highlight the arrangements and narrative power of each song.
But the journey doesn't end with Piaf. The show also explores paths that lead to contemporary French music, connecting the tradition represented by the singer to different generations of artists. The repertoire includes hits by Zaz, Indila, Désireless, and Johnny Hallyday, creating a bridge between different eras and showing how French musical culture continues to transform without losing its core references.
More than just revisiting the past, “Edith on Piaf's Trail” proposes discovering what remains of it. Between classics and reinterpretations, the audience follows a story that begins with one of the most remarkable voices in French song and continues through other sounds, artists, and moments in that country's culture.
The performance, part of Edith Gondin's Rendez Vous - A Festa project aimed at promoting French culture, is supported by the companies Carmem Rita - Pilates e Bem Estar and Capitais Seguros. Since 2022, the project has sought to deepen knowledge and understanding of this musical universe in Santa Catarina.
