A partnership known to the public returns to the stage of the Ademir Rosa Theater (CIC) this Thursday (9) and marks the premiere of a new show by Camerata Florianópolis, this time interpreting works by accordionist Roger Corrêa. The show will be at 20:30 pm, in a marriage of the orchestra with the Roger Corrêa Quartet group. Tickets are available on the Blueticket website.
The show proposes an unusual formation in instrumental music by placing the diatonic button accordion – a traditional musical instrument from the South and Northeast of Brazil – together with a typical jazz trio (piano, double bass and drums) and with the sound of an orchestra, expanding the sonic possibilities and creating new textures.
Under the direction of conductor Jeferson Della Rocca, the show features arrangements by Arthur Boscato, specially designed for the dialogue between the quartet and the orchestral ensemble. The group's last collaboration with the Camerata was at the end of 2025, when the quartet — composed of Roger Corrêa (accordion), Rodrigo Porciuncula (drums), Tiê Pereira (bass), and Edilson Forte (piano) — opened the show “Som Brasil” at Trapiche da Beira-Mar Norte.
This Thursday's performance is made possible through the Cultural Incentive Law of the Ministry of Culture, with sponsorship from Fort Atacadista and Engie, and production direction by Maria Elita Pereira.
