Camerata Florianópolis honors Italian tradition with a concert at the CIC on September 9th | Guia Floripa

Camerata Florianópolis pays homage to Italian tradition with a concert at the CIC on September 9th.

Italian music has transcended generations, borders, and styles, ranging from grand opera arias to songs that have become known in different parts of the world. It is along this path that the Camerata Florianópolis guides the audience in the show "Classics of Italian Music," which will be presented on September 9th at 20 PM at the Ademir Rosa Theater (CIC). Tickets are already available at Blueticket and at the orchestra's headquarters.

Under the direction of conductor Jeferson Della Rocca, the program brings together different moments in Italian music. Highlights include the aria "Nessun Dorma" from the operatic repertoire, the traditional "Funiculì Funiculà," and "Cose della Vita" by Eros Ramazzotti, representing Italian pop rock. The repertoire also includes songs such as "Per Amore," "Volare," "Tu vuo fa L'americano," "Vivo per Lei," "O Sole Mio," and "Bella Ciao," in a selection that brings together different generations and styles of the Italian musical tradition.

In addition to the orchestra musicians, the performance features a backing band comprised of Dudu Pimentel (guitar), João Peters (bass), Rodrigo Porciuncula (drums), and Alberto Heller (piano). Vocals are provided by Joana Castanheira, Fernando De Carli, Gerard Macapagal, and Russian singer Ekaterina Frolova. Arrangements are by pianist Alberto Heller, with production direction by Maria Elita Pereira.
