In celebration of 130 years of diplomatic relations between Brazil and Japan – a milestone that will be remembered throughout 2025 as the Year of Japan-Brazil Friendship Exchange – Camerata Florianópolis will premiere the new show “Concerto Japão”. The performance will be on July 18, at 20 pm, at Teatro Ademir Rosa (CIC), and will feature a repertoire that moves between Japanese musical tradition and contemporary soundtracks from Studio Ghibli anime. Tickets are on sale on the Blueticket website.
On stage, under the baton of maestro Jeferson Della Rocca, the orchestra will be accompanied by special guests: the lyrical singer Masami Ganev, the singer and shamisen player Felipe Hirono and the Japanese Taiko drum group, Shimadaiko.
The purpose of the show is to celebrate diversity and cultural dialogue between the two countries through music, promoting a rapprochement between Eastern tradition and the orchestra's Western sound. The concert is part of the special program marking the 130th anniversary of the beginning of formal relations between Brazil and Japan, established in 1895, and which have been strengthened over time through immigration, culture and mutual cooperation.
The JAPAN Concert has the Production Direction of Maria Elita.
