O Nau Catarineta Cultural Center receives the theatrical show The Girl and Her Boy ShadowDirected by Pepe Sedrez. Egon Seidler e Paula Bittencourt, star in the play, which is loosely based on the literary work The story of Julia and her boyish shadow by Christian Bruel, Anne Galland and Anne Bozellec.
Aimed at children, the play addresses issues of gender and diversity, portrayed in a poetic way - transcending the scene with softness and naturalness.
Produced by Harmonica Art and Entertainmento and carried out by Malagueta Productions, the show lasts approximately 45 minutes.
Synopsis: "You look like a boy! You look like a girl! She likes to play with toy cars and dolls. He likes to play hula hoop and soccer. But as others criticize her authentic way, one day she realizes that her shadow is of a boy And that she doesn't want!
She just wants the right to be herself. What are 'boy stuff' and 'girl stuff' anyway?"
