Show “Spreading gunpowder to harvest fire” at the Victor Meirelles Museum

The auditorium of the Victor Meirelles Museum (Ibram/MinC) will be the stage for the show “Spreading gunpowder to harvest fire”, followed by a chat with actress Monica Siedler, at 19 pm this Friday, August 30, 2024. The presentation, with free admission, is an extension activity of the Center for Educational Sciences of the Federal University of Santa Catarina organized by the Center for Studies on Gender and Sexuality (NÓS/CED/UFSC) and the Sintoma Project.
The performance is the third chapter of the Sintoma Project, which has been researching and creating themes related to the binomial truth and lies, narcissism and trauma since 2020. Within the current stage action, the aim is to purge melancholy, creating a performative theater that, through words, dance, objects and images, opens itself up to criticism of culture and addictive behaviors, seeking the rite of Theater as a support for aesthetic and psychoanalytic exchange.

Actress and dancer, with a degree and master's degree in theater from the State University of Santa Catarina (UDESC). She participates in the Ensaio Para Algo que Não Sabe Collective, with Karina Collaço and Loren Fischer, and in the Sintoma Project, in dialogue with Director Mariana Corale (Paulo Gustavo D+ SC 2023 and Aldir Blanc SC 2021). In 2018 and 2020, she was a professor of Performance in the Dance undergraduate program at the Fundação Universidade Regional de Blumenau (FURB, Blumenau/SC). She researches the interaction between audiovisual and stage, performing the performances O Pior de Mim (Elisabete Anderle award for cultural stimulation 2014) and Trilogia Ninguém é Impossível, which she presented in theater, dance, visual arts, and film festivals.
