This Tuesday (26), at 20:30 pm, at Teatro Ademir Rosa - CIC, there is a DVD recording of the show “Será que é de Éter?” - a presentation that has already been performed by singer Cláudia Passos in partnership with Inclusive Dance Company Silk Pencil on other occasions, but without the record that it will have on that occasion. Entry will be free upon donation of 1kg of non-perishable food per person to benefit APAE (Association of Parents and Friends of the Exceptional) of Florianópolis. Tickets are available at Sympla.
The show involves the work of artists such as performer Cláudia Passos, who is also a producer and provides the artistic musical direction. The choreography and direction is by Ana Luiza Ciscato, who runs Lápis de Seda Cia de Dança Inclusiva. The musical direction is by maestro Luiz Gustavo Zago, who will also be at the piano and is the author of the original arrangements for the show.
The DVD recording project is possible because Chico Buarque authorized the use of his own songs in this new work. Among the authorized songs are "Valsinha", "Samba do Grande Amor", "Cotidiano" and "Olê olá". The release of the songs for this new moment of “Será que é de Éter?" was articulated through Maestro Luiz Cláudio Ramos – musician, arranger and personal friend of Chico Buarque – who got to know the work of Cláudia Passos on her first album "Mar à Vista" (2013). Maestro Luiz Cláudio Ramos is also recognized for works with other great MPB artists such as Elis Regina, Tom Jobim, Caetano Veloso and Rita Lee, as well as international names, such as Mick Jagger.
At the end of last year, following the confirmation that Chico's songs could be on the DVD, the production intensified its efforts to raise the resources that made the recordings possible. “Furthermore, it was important to close the unprecedented partnership between the producers Cinetrip and Plural Filmes, which will guarantee a cinematic look for the audiovisual record”, highlights Cláudia Passos.
As a producer, Claudia was at the forefront of the campaign in search of supporters for the Florianópolis Incentive Law, who could donate 20% of IPTU (Urban Land Property Tax) and ISS (Service Tax) taxes to approved projects, which is this case. 'It's an immense effort to carry out a work, a show, with so many people involved. To do this, we need resources that make production viable and pay the artists. In our campaign with companies and individuals, we realized that there is still a lack of information. Many people like and want to contribute to promoting culture and it is important that public authorities provide information and carry out educational support campaigns”, argues the artist. An important addendum is that most of the donations came from friends and acquaintances who already knew the work of the singer and the dance company - including many who had no prior knowledge about this type of contribution.
