The exhibition "Hercílio Luz Bridge: A Century Between Documents, Images, Daily Life and Art" narrates the history of the "Old Lady" from a perspective in which this heritage, which turned 100 years old in May 2026, is the starting point, not the destination. The exhibition will remain open for free visits at the Santa Catarina Historical Museum, located in the Cruz e Sousa Palace, in Florianópolis, until September 30, 2026. The museum is open from Tuesday to Friday, from 10 am to 18 pm, and on Saturdays and Sundays, from 10 am to 17 pm.

The exhibition is an initiative of the Cultural Heritage Directorate (DPAC) of the FCC and will bring closer to the public a collection composed of poems, documents and original photographs from different eras. The exhibition also features a module entirely dedicated to art, cinema and popular culture, with the presentation of the historic model "Ponte do Bicaca", restored by the artist Jone Cezar de Araújo especially for the exhibition, and the golden miniature by the artist Juan Alvez.

"Hercílio Luz Bridge: A Century Between Documents, Images, Daily Life and Art" begins with a time when the city lived without the bridge, drawing on diverse accounts of the difficulties, but also the opportunities of daily life and business in the Strait region, between the Island and the mainland.
