Florianópolis is preparing to welcome the renowned Orquestra Brasileira in an unmissable show. On April 10th, at 20:30 pm, the Ademir Rosa Theater (CIC) will host a unique musical event, entitled “Festa do Interior”. With the special participation of singers Camélia Martins, Didi Maçaneiro and Lara Sales, the night promises to enchant the public with the magic of parties in the northeast of Brazil in an atmosphere of forró and baião.
The Orquestra Brasileira is one of the works directed by the pianist and music producer from Santa Catarina, Luiz Gustavo Zago, known for his pioneering spirit in seeking different sound languages, working from orchestral training with the Camerata Florianópolis or Orquestra Sinfônica Brasileira, to the universe of popular song, with the his collaborations with Lenine, Ivan Lins, Toquinho and Paulinho Moska. “From classical to modern, the Brazilian orchestra brings a historical view of musical genres, exploring the intersection between classical and popular music. Our objective is to provide the public with an in-depth experience of the Brazilian cultural universe”, says Zago.
The show pays homage to Brazilian music, focusing on the musical richness of the northeast of the country. The repertoire was carefully selected and the arrangements were made by Luiz Gustavo Zago and Alexandre Lunardelli. Among the songs that will be presented, “Festa do Interior”, “ Isso Aqui Tá Bom Demais”, “Esperando na Janela”, “Feira de Mangaio”, “Eu Só Quero Um Xodó” and “São João Carioca” stand out.
The Orquestra Brasileira's musicians, led by pianist and conductor Luiz Gustavo Zago, include talented artists such as Eduardo Pimentel, Filipe Müller and Igor Ishikawa on acoustic guitars, Tie Pereira on acoustic double bass, Duh Romão on cavaquinho, Lucas Martinez on mandolin, Rafael Petry on accordion , Richard Montano on drums, Alexandre Damaria and Neno Moura on percussion, Ana Luisa Remor on flute and Elio Vistel on flute/saxophone.
In addition to the “Festa do Interior” concert, the Orquestra Brasileira has ambitious plans for the future. In the first half of the year, an album is scheduled to be recorded, in addition to the next concert, “Origens”, which will take place on May 16th at CIC, also with free entry.
In addition to an exciting musical experience, the Orquestra Brasileira’s “Festa do Interior” concert is committed to accessibility for all audiences.
