The Armação Group takes to the stage at the Álvaro de Carvalho Theater (TAC) this Sunday (19), at 19 pm, with the comedy The Bald Soprano, by Eugene Ionesco. In a single session, the show promises to draw laughter as it portrays the absurd daily lives of six characters — two English couples, a maid and a fireman — amid nonsense dialogues and unusual situations.
Directed by Chico De Nez, the production marks the group's return to the TAC after the success of its June premiere. "It's that kind of nonsensical thing that makes perfect sense," comments the director. Actress Flávia Dreher, who plays the maid, adds: "The play is so much fun precisely because of this nonsense."
With over 50 years of history, Grupo Armação is one of the oldest in Santa Catarina and maintains its headquarters at Casa do Teatro, in the center of Florianópolis, where it also holds courses, presentations and a thrift store whose proceeds are donated to the group's productions.
Tickets are available from this Tuesday (14), with a promotional half-price price for everyone, at Sympla and at the TAC box office on the day of the show.
