
O Theater Group O Dromedário Loquaz presents solo show Florbela Espanca, bringing to the fore the specter of the Portuguese poet who suffered persecution in the first half of the XNUMXth century. Inspired by passages from Espanca's life and work, the play will be presented three times at the UBRO Theater: on the 16th, 17th and 18th of March, with sessions always at 20 pm.
Synopsis: The show brings to the scene the specter of Florbela Espanca, who awakens from her death sleep to defend the honor and work of the Portuguese poet who, in the first half of the XNUMXth century, was persecuted and execrated by the Catholic Church and the Salazar dictatorship. . Florbela rediscovers and faces her past and her tormentors, leading the viewer to follow the sad and disturbing paths that marked her existence, witnessing the ordeal of persecution and defamation that took place even after her death. Solo performance is Diana Ada Padilha. The dramaturgy and direction is credited to Sulanger Bavaresco.
