The theatrical performance "Jaguaretê: A Brazilian Odyssey" delves into historical and ecological consciousness, asking: how did we begin and where will we go if we do not listen to the earth's warnings? Between threatened biodiversity and neglected multiculturalism, the work redefines the famous Shakespearean phrase - "To be or not to be, that is the question" - adapting it to the Brazilian context: "Tupi or not Tupi, that is the question".
The purpose of the play is to encourage reflection on our identity, the preservation of culture and nature, and the urgency of swallowing, speaking and studying our roots, before they are devoured by oblivion. A call to resistance and a warning: either we recognize ourselves in our identities, struggles and diversity, or we will be swallowed up by history itself.
