Clowning, sustainability, and the environment: this is the combination of the "Sowing Laughter" project, composed of the shows "The Great Invention" (Julio Maestri) and "The Incredible Flower Circus" (Clown Flor), which take place in Florianópolis.
"The Great Invention" directly addresses the environmental issue and takes place on August 04th (Tuesday) at 14:45 PM. "The Incredible Flower Circus" celebrates circus culture and female clowning and takes place on August 05th (Wednesday) at 14:45 PM.
Both events take place at the Ubro Theater in downtown Florianópolis. Suitable for all ages, admission is free and open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis.
In addition to the two performances in the state capital, the project will also visit Imbituba, Capivari de Baixo, Içara, Sombrio, Praia Grande, Joaçaba, Videira, Rio das Antas, Caçador, Canoinha, and Joinville.
Workshops will also be held for teachers in the state education system, focusing on environmental art education and clowning, and copies of the book "The Great Invention" will be distributed to libraries in all the cities visited.
"Sowing Laughter - Clowning and Sustainability in Santa Catarina" is a cultural project carried out by Circo Flor, with executive production by Billy Produções, through the Cultural Incentive Program (PIC) of the Government of the State of Santa Catarina, approved by the Santa Catarina Cultural Foundation, and with the support of Grupo Krona and Nidec Global Appliance.
