Registration for the free event Photo Walk for Gender Diversity ends this Friday, the day 07, and must be done at the link below.
The event takes place this coming June 20th, from 10am to 17pm, at the State Institute of Education, in the center of Florianópolis.
Its main objective is to make LGBTQIAP+ memory spaces visible in the city, in addition to encouraging the participation of LGBTQIAP+ people in open access collaborative platforms.
The program consists of a basic workshop on photography techniques, and then a guided walk through the center of Florianópolis, in which part of the history of the city's diversity will be explored.
During this journey, participants will be able to take photos and record these historical moments, which will be reused in the free multimedia repository Wikimedia Commons, thus promoting easy access to these records.

10:00 – 10:30 – Registration and brunch offering;
10:30 – 10:50 – Welcome and introductions;
10:50 – 11:50 – Training with photography tips;
11:50 – 13:30 – Photo walk with uploading photos;
13:30 – Arrival back at base;
13:30 – 14:00 – Exchange of ideas and offering a coffee break;
14:00 – 14:30 – Second moment of uploading photos;
14:30 – 15:15 – Selection by an external jury of the three best photos taken during the walk;
14:30 – 15:15 – Ballroom Jam (Vogue practice);
15:15 – 15:45 – Decoration ceremony and thanks for participation.
The walk itinerary is planned to last 1h40, covering nine stopping points:
State Institute of Education of Florianópolis, a century-old building in Florianópolis, and the venue that hosts the event;
ADEH - Nostro Mundo and FAÇA - Azorean Foundation to Combat AIDS: non-governmental organizations active in the fight for Human Rights;
Municipal Council for the Rights of Lesbian, Bisexual, Gay, Transsexual and Transvestite People of Florianópolis City Hall;
CMDLGBT: achievement of the city's LGBT+ movement to implement public policies;
Praça XV: historic square in Florianópolis, a space where LGBT+ territories were formed in the 1970s and 1980s;
Alcateia Restaurante, Avenida Hercílio Luz (Former Roma Bar);
Escadaria do Rosário: first attempt at a Gay Parade in Florianópolis and last location for the Ballroom at the Cultural Marathon (2024);
Trans Outpatient Clinic: achievement of the Florianópolis trans movement’s right to health in the community;
Largo da Alfândega: meeting space for mobilizations and demonstrations with LGBT+ and feminist agendas;
