Applications are open for the Isogravure and Cordel Poetry Workshop that Santa Catarina Public Library will be held on November 11, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., at Espaço Maker. The free event is aimed at children aged 8 to 12.
Led by Laura da Rosa Bourscheid, librarian at BPSC, the workshop will focus on the isogravure technique, an adaptation of woodcutting that uses Styrofoam to create engravings. Participating children will also compose a cordel poem to create their own book using the isogravure technique for the cover illustration.
