Where's the culture?

Also echoing the open letter from the State Council of Culture to Governor Raimundo Colombo. I mean: addressed to him, but as the government didn't give a damn, the document was made public by the CEC blog. A clear disagreement between the council members towards the cultural policy of the Colombo government.

the american revolution

In all the conversations over the weekend, there is only one subject: Trump. Whether with jokes or with serious and worrying predictions about the future of the planet with the government of the greatest power in the West in the hands of a man who can really surprise… for better or for worse. It's a matter of time. But one factor also draws the world's attention: the return of Americans to the streets of their cities. It is a spark, but it could advance to the point of questioning the electoral system where the people vote, but do not elect. It's a ridiculous democracy! And it could be the trigger for a big turnaround. And in the bulge, President-elect Donald Trump.

circus is life

The Juggling and Circus Congress that has been taking place in the east of the island, based on the Rio Vermelho campsite, stirred tourists from Barra da Lagoa with a procession of artists along the beach and a performance in Cidade Nova. The event, with the exclusive support of Sesc, has artists from several countries in South America and even France. But the city hall did not move a straw to carry out the same. It is the cultural abandonment of the government of the Capital.

By the way

Abandonment can also be seen in the streets and avenues of the city… they are holes and more holes without the presence of the City Hall of the Capital, left to the flies after the results of the elections. Which would certainly not have happened if the mayoral candidate had been elected.

Presence

Substitute councilor for the Capital, Roseli Pereira seems to continue campaigning. It does not fail to honor cultural events in the city and its citizens. On Friday night, she attended Marejada de Itajaí for the Açor trophy delivery ceremony, at the 23rd edition of the Festa Açoriana. On Sunday, she was already photographing the mambembes groups of the Malabares and Circus Congress that take place on the Island until this holiday.

By the way

The trophy for the 23rd edition of the Açor was produced by the artist Dão, a resident of Enseada de Brito. The piece mixes art, culture and fishing activities from the municipalities on the coast of Santa Catarina, with an evident influence from the Azores Archipelago. One of the recipients was Carin Machado, international director of Casa dos Açores in Santa Catarina.

fuss

The stampede at the city hall of Palmas, in Tocantins, messes with the administration of the electoral mayor Carlos Damastha and several first-level employees born and well known here on the Island. The participation of a member of the Petrelli family is also being the subject of many conversations in the political and media. How unpleasant!

SOS Lagoon

Some 150 people participated on Saturday morning, in the square of the Oliveira restaurant, in a manifesto asking for more security for Lagoa da Conceição. Led by the Lagoa and Conseg Residents' Association – the local Security Council, citizens are concerned about the authorities' negligence towards one of the neighborhoods that has the city's postcard.

Voz

As an alternate councilor, Renato Gesk can do a lot for Lagoa da Conceição. But now as an elected councilor he said that he will be able to charge much more from the authorities for this disregard for our postcard, he spoke at the movement that asked for more security for Lagoa.
