Rei do Pitaco takes the lead and launches the first betting app on the Brazilian App Store

The Rei do Pitaco betting house made history by becoming the first Brazilian operator to officially make its betting app available on the App Store, Apple's app store. Until then, the sports betting apps were only available indirectly, through the operators' own websites. Android users downloaded APK files directly from the platforms, while iPhone owners had to create shortcuts via browser, in a less intuitive process that did not meet Apple's standards.

The change came with the official regulation of online betting, which came into force in 2025. With the new rules, both Google and Apple now allow the entry of applications from duly licensed betting houses that comply with legal requirements.

Rei do Pitaco had already stood out for its fantasy game app on the Google Play Store. Now, it reaffirms its pioneering role with the arrival of its sports betting app on the App Store. There is still no exact date for the app's launch on Google Play, but the company confirmed that the launch is in the final stages of approval.

Rei do Pitaco's move should pave the way for other operators to follow suit. With the regulation, the expectation is that the main players in the market will be present in official stores in the coming weeks, offering a safer, more practical and reliable experience to users.
