tenth island

The regional director of the Azores communities, Paulo Teves, landed in Floripa, considered the “tenth island” of the Azorean archipelago. It will honor the inauguration of professor Sérgio Ferreira in the presidency of Casa dos Açores Ilha de Santa Catarina, which takes place today at the entity's headquarters, a kind of diplomatic arm of that government. The release date of the album “Bilro Lace – An Azorean Tradition Transcending Centuries”, sponsored by Tractebel, is a tribute to Lacemakers Day, October 21st. The celebrations will take place from 16 pm, at the Cruz e Sousa Palace, with a coffee served to lace makers on the island. The book's autograph session, illustrated with photos by artist Jone César de Araujo, will take place shortly after, at 19 pm, with the presence of researchers, authorities and guests.

72 days

A disease, a violence, in short, a bad weather that takes us by surprise, makes us think about many things and rethink many others. In 2007 Ricardo Moritz was named as a suspect in an illicit action, a situation that took him to jail for 72 days. The experience provoked a transformation that led him to analyze the weaknesses and strengths of the human being in the book 72 days, which he launches this Thursday, at 19 pm, in the Legislative Assembly.

Dona Dilma manages to walk and be filmed by the staff through the streets of downtown… Stockholm, of course. I wanted to see her walking and waving in São Paulo 23 de Março. It was electronic in the head, for sure! To see if she connects, right?

The new president of the PMDB from Santa Catarina, Mauro Mariani, came out with this pearl about whether or not the party should leave the federal positions after announcing that he was in favor of breaking with the Dilma government: “it was a matter of timing”. So ok... they don't want to drop the bone.
