Without filling

This Easter is being seen with pessimism by businesspeople in Greater Floripa with the volume of installment sales in the period between March 29th and April 4th, falling 2,5% compared to last year. This is data revealed in the survey by the National Confederation of Store Managers. If expectations are confirmed, sales will show the first drop in six years. A continuation of the downward trend in sales observed throughout 2014 on Mother's Day, Children's Day and Christmas. Easter Sunday lunch will also weigh on consumers' pockets, being 25,03% more expensive than in 2014, while baskets with sweets and chocolates are 9,32%. There are people who won't even see the bunny pass by.

O dear

An article by journalist Zuenir Ventura last week talked about the emergence of the new as a result of this troop that continues to usurp power for decades. The new one is called Sérgio Moro, the federal judge who commands the Lava Jato operation and puts corrupt politicians and businessmen in jail. Without celebrity, without salvationist moralism, with simplicity and focused on applying the laws, the young judge, only 42 years old, has on his shoulders an entire country in the hope of national cleansing. He's the guy.

Have more

Don't think that this avalanche of change that forms a new political scenario for the country stops there, with the arrests. We should see significant changes in the next elections with the parties involved in this blatant corruption being defenestrated from political life. At least that's the crowd.

From old times

How about on the eve of Easter, a time of renewal, we go back in time a little and land at Armazém Vieira next Saturday to enjoy another edition of the Dasantigas festival. You can even bring eggs and chocolate to dance to good rock and roll from the 70s.

Right there

Speaking of time, have you figured it out yet!? Today is the last day of March... tomorrow is April, the first day. And it's no lie... time doesn't stop. And we're going with him... now hitchhiking in the fall. In a little while mullet in sight.

Present

Always attentive to things in the city, Gastão Meirelles Perrenoud, president of the Association of Residents of the Capital, launched the ecological campaign “Present for Floripa” during the anniversary week. And on April 11th he invites all citizens to give the city a gift by not throwing garbage in the streets, on the beaches, in the mangroves or anywhere else.

Easter walk

At Pedra Branca, all dates are not left blank. The Pedra Branca Easter Walk will feature Grandpa and Grandma Coelho as the protagonists, as well as cupcake workshops, a themed picnic, live music, face painting and other activities involving the children in the Easter rhythm.

South Group

As part of the celebrations for the 66th anniversary of the Santa Catarina Art Museum, the Fundação Catarinense de Cultura promotes the screening of the documentary Modernos do Sul, directed by Kátia Klock, which shows the formation of the Grupo Sul, whose actions were decisive for the creation of Masc in 1949. The session takes place tomorrow, at 15pm and 17pm; and on April 8th, at 17pm, in the Museum's exhibition hall and with free entry.

About the movie

From 1947 to 1958, the Modern Art Circle provoked the largest cultural movement seen in Santa Catarina to date. Known later as Grupo Sul, the group of intellectuals, headed by writer Salim Miguel, he published SUL magazine for ten years, edited books, staged plays, promoted art exhibitions, founded the first cinema club in southern Brazil and was a pioneer in the seventh art, making the first feature film in Santa Catarina, “The Price of Illusion”.

The Scream

The Santa Catarina Art Museum will host the launch of the music video for Eli - Grito de Esperança, a poem set to music by the duo Tatiana Cobbett and Marcoliva based on the work Mensagem das Mãos, by artist Eli Heil. The event, which takes place tomorrow, will also feature a pocket show by musicians and a cocktail, at 20pm, with free entry. The launch will take place in the same exhibition space of the Museum that will house the exhibition commemorating Eli Heil's 12th birthday until April 85th.
