The Santa Catarina Cultural Foundation (FCC) and the Museum of Image and Sound of Santa Catarina (MIS/SC) launches the “Primeiro Palco” project, a groundbreaking initiative that offers emerging artists the opportunity to perform their first solo show at the Integrated Culture Center (CIC). The project aims to provide a welcoming, formative, and inspiring environment for the emergence of new talents in the state.
The inaugural edition will take place on December 9, 2025, at 7:30 PM, in the Multimedia Room of MIS/SC, with a performance by the young artist Taciana Baixo Pacheco, a finalist in the Santa Catarina Canta – Brazilian Music Festival, 2025 edition. The "First Stage" project aims to democratize access to institutional stages and encourage new artists to experience their first public performance. Conceived as a space for experimentation and discovery, the project welcomes amateur and beginner artists at different stages of their training.
"The idea behind this project is to create space for emerging artists, so they can build their audience in a welcoming environment, such as the Multimedia Room at MIS/SC," explains the president of FCC, Maria Teresinha Debatin, the project's creator.
Public Call for Proposals for 2026
Starting in 2026, the project will include a public call for participants, encompassing various artistic languages such as music, theater, poetry, dance, performance, and storytelling. Performances will take place monthly, always with free access to the public.
This initiative reinforces the commitment of FCC and MIS/SC to expanding access to cultural spaces, encouraging the diversity of artistic expressions, and strengthening the museum as a space for education, welcoming, and dialogue with the community. More than just a stage, the project seeks to create an environment of belonging and appreciation for art in its most genuine forms, offering new talents the opportunity to integrate into the Santa Catarina cultural circuit.
