For the fifth edition of Live Cinema Project, the pianist and synthesist Diogo de Haro makes, live, the soundtrack for the exhibition of the film of Metropolis.

The film, directed by German director Fritz Lang, is in the science fiction genre and shows everyday life in a futuristic city, Metropolis. The story takes place in the year 2026, one hundred years after the production of the film. It reveals the differences between the workers who live underground and the wealthier people who live on the surface, emphasizing social contrasts. During the story, the character Freder, the ruler's son, falls in love with Maria, a worker who takes care of children.

The Live Cinema project is promoted by the Catarinense Culture Foundation (FCC), through the Image and Sound Museum (MIS/SC).
