With free admission, the Nume Quartet will perform a concert this Thursday, November 13th, at 20 PM, at the São João Batista e Santo Ivo Church, in the Agronômica neighborhood of Florianópolis.
The performance premieres new arrangements from the project "Povos de SC por Quarteto Nume," which transforms traditional songs from immigrant communities that helped build the cultural identity of Santa Catarina into chamber music.
The repertoire will include Italian, German, Ukrainian, Japanese, and Azorean melodies, reinvented with arrangements tailor-made for the quartet and not yet officially released.
Mozart's Divertimento in F major and Corelli's delicate Concerto Grosso for Christmas Eve will also be performed.
The quartet consists of violinist Iva Giracca, violinist and producer Marcio Marçal Jr., violinist Mariana Barardi, and cellist Raphael Buratto.
Proposal implemented by the Government of the State of Santa Catarina, through the Santa Catarina Cultural Foundation, with resources from the Federal Government and the Aldir Blanc National Policy.
