Exhibition 'Mukabata', by Eneléo Alcides

The Museum of Image and Sound of Santa Catarina (MIS/SC), located in the Integrated Culture Center (CIC), will open the exhibition "Mukabata" next Friday, October 4, at 19 pm, with photographs and videos by Eneléo Alcides about the Huni Kuin ethnic group, presenting images captured in the upper reaches of the Tarauacá and Jordão rivers, on the border between Brazil and Peru, in the Western Amazon. Visitation will continue until November 29, with free admission from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10 am to 21 pm.

The exhibition is curated by Rosângela Miranda Cherem and Fabrício Tomazi Peixoto.

About the photographer

Eneléo Alcides studies and researches visual arts, music and photography. He completed a post-doctorate in the field of Art History (PPGAV/UDESC, 2017-2019), holds a PhD in Law (CPGD/UFSC 1999-2004), a Master's degree in Social Anthropology (PPGAS/UFSC 1995-1998), and a degree in Social Communication/Journalism (UFSC 1986-1993), among other degrees. He works as a photographer, curator, manager and cultural producer.
