Rasteira herb in Forró de Sambaqui

The trio Erva Rasteira is one of the pioneers in forró in Santa Catarina. With 20 years of history, the band went through some formations with different musicians and the current group performs as a trio, a very common format in forró works “pé-de-serra” and “raiz” in Brazil.

Henrique Soares, in voice and zabumba, has been in the band since its beginning, 1999. Gabriel de Bem, in triangle and voice, has been with the trio for three years. The last to compose the group is Marcelo Besen, accordionist, who has been since 2015, the year of the final formation, with the name of “Erva Rasteira”.

The trio plays with cover repertoire and interprets the classics of forró pé de serra, by Luiz Gonzaga, Dominguinhos, Alceu Valença and others, in addition to reinterpretations of MPB and original songs. The band's work is guided by quality music and commitment to the public, in addition to competence and responsibility.
