National Youth Festival (FENAJ) and 1st Brazilian Dente de Leite Championship – sub 6

From April 18 to 21, the best chess players up to 18 years of age can participate in the National Youth Festival (FENAJ) and for the unprecedented event 1st Brazilian Milk Tooth Championship - under 06 years. The main thought chess competition is worth rating FIDE and CBX and the absolute and female Brazilian champions are defined – official representatives of Brazil in the World, Pan American and South American championships of the respective categories.

The tournament opens on April 18, with a technical conference at 11 am and the first round at 14 pm.

For the Milk Tooth category (under 06 years old) those born on or after January 1, 2014 can participate; in the Cadet category (under 16 years old) those born on January 1st, 2004 can participate, and Children and Youth (Under 18s) for those born on January 1st, 2002. Participation is guaranteed to chess players who have paid the annual membership fee of the Brazilian Chess Confederation (CBX) 2020 and the registration fee.

Awards: Trophies are awarded to the best players from first to third place in each category and medals from fourth to 15th place in each category. The award will only be given to athletes present at the ceremony. State champions who have been approved by the CBX and who meet the requirements must register until February 28 to have accommodation paid for by the organization, provided they are accompanied by an adult.

Florianópolis also hosts the 31st Panamericano de Ajedrez de la Juventud, in July, which can be played by champions classified in the Brazilian Championship.
