All That Jazz: Chicago Adaptation – TAC 7:30

Vrinda Cultural Center

In 1920s Chicago, Roxie Hart is a chorus girl who, in search of fame and stardom, commits a crime. For her defense, she hires Billy Flynn, the best criminal lawyer in town. Meanwhile, another client of Billy's, fellow showgirl Velma Kelly, who once inspired Roxie, vie for media attention with her stories.

Love, adultery, murder and devotion are mixed up in the world of news and tabloids.

The show is a montage performed by the N17, a group formed by students from the Arts Center of the State University of Santa Catarina (Udesc). With songs in English and text in Portuguese, All That Jazz preserves the intensity of the original work.
