illusions proposes an open reflection on the myths of love, memory and permanence by telling the story of two old couples. Is love more than a complex web of stories we tell ourselves and others? How to know what is and what is not an illusion? Flying saucers, pink lines on the horizon and rounded stones are here witnesses of the provisional answers to these questions.
The new production by La Vaca Companhia de Artes Scenic, based on the homonymous text by Russian author Ivan Viripaev, unpublished in Brazil, under the direction of Fabio Salvatti, represents a change of route in dramaturgical terms for La Vaca. even if the focus continues to be contemporary dramaturgy, the company proposes the staging of a Russian author, expanding its interest beyond the Latin American theatrical universe.
