The show Cascaes – Memories of the Raw Clay Man reveals the mythological universe of the artist researcher, in which witches, boitatás and other fantastic beings live. Cascaes' work also presents a portrait of the customs of his time.
On stage, illustrations, texts and sculptures come into play through the hands of the characters, poetic beings that come to life to present Cascaes' great project. They are played by Luiza Lorenz, Margô Ferreira and Egon Seidler, responsible for taking viewers on a tour of the world of Frankolino, as Franklin Cascaes was affectionately called. “These poetic beings have the desire to amplify Cascaes’ voice and suspend it in the air”, says director Andrea Ojeda, from Periplo Companhia Teatral.
