The show EvocationsDirected by Andrea Ojeda (Cia Periplo de Teatro, from Buenos Aires – AR), is a monologue performed by Luiza Lorenz – actress who revives some of the themes most dear to author João da Cruz e Souza: The Emparedado, The Artist, The Excluded, The Crazy. On stage, the actress masterfully conveys poetry through her voice and body, in an intimate show, immersed in the soul of Cruz e Sousa – revolutionary and abolitionist poet, exponent of the country's prose and poetry and Santa Catarina.
