War Game Show

War game, which takes place in three different places on the same street, in addition to traveling through its surroundings, it is a work in three parts. Inspired by the game of the same name by Alice Becker-Ho and Guy Debord, and the protests of May 68, which celebrate their 50th anniversary this year, Game of War deals with our current times and what we can do on the streets this May 2018.

In Becker-Ho and Debord's board game, two teams make their moves without seeing each other, while an external observer has an overview of the game.

Three simultaneous actions are taking place, people must define which of the three actions they will take part in: in one of the two that take place, at opposite ends, on the street, free of charge and with an unlimited capacity of people, or in an interior location that, In addition to offering a general view of the street, it also offers greater comfort, exclusivity and intimacy, but has limited spaces and entry requires a donation of one kilo of non-perishable food, clothing or equivalent.

The conflict between direct action and its aestheticization in the form of performative acts is no longer an issue in the field of arts and is present in the most diverse daily manifestations. Faced with the aestheticization of politics and the limits of a representation that contemplates the diverse current demands, Jogo da Guerra tries to emerge the imagination and experience of a possible, or not, conquest of spaces of power.
