Valentine's Night at João de Barro Restaurant

The traditional valentine's night at the restaurant Rufous Hornero has a very special meaning: there were witnessed many love stories, marriage proposals, reconciliations and the most original and enchanting madness of love. That's why the day will be special: live music, decoration of the hall, raffles, souvenirs for lovers and, of course, everything by candlelight and heated by fireplaces. In addition to the carefully selected repertoire of live music, the show will feature the traditional tribute to the Island and will be adapted to honor couples with very romantic music. The evening menu will have two options:

Option 1: Starter for 2 people (to choose): Carpaccio Filé Minhon; Salmon Carpaccio; Shrimp Coquille (2 units); Provoleta; Mixed Salad with Hearts of Palm Main dish – individual (to choose): João de Barro Talharim (with Minhon Fillet or Chicken Breast); João de Barro Shrimp; Bombay mutton; Fillet with Champignon; Roquefort sole; Ricotta and Walnut Sorrentinos; Homemade Gnocchi; Salmon fillet with hollandaise sauce; Grilled salmon fillet with almonds; Fish and Shrimp Moqueca; Carrot and zucchini noodles (vegan). Dessert for 2 people (to choose): João de Barro Cake; Gustavo and Diana (Romeo and Juliet); Dulce de leche pancakes with ice cream; Petit Gateau with ice cream; Chocolate mousse; Dulce de Leche mousse and meringue.

Option 2: Cheese fondue: Ementhal and Gruyere cheese fondue, served with hot rolls, apple, turkey sausage, mushrooms, pine nuts, gnocchi, guava paste, quail eggs, carrots and boiled potatoes. Extra grilled meat: Minhon fillet (150gr) and chicken (150gr) cut into “cubes”, served with five homemade sauces. Chocolate fondue: Served with seasonal fruits, marshmallows, carrot cupcakes, nuts and rice flakes.
