Synopsis:
Gilda is a Brazilian immigrant living in Lisbon, Portugal. After being diagnosed with cancer and learning she has only one year to live, she begins to desire a dignified and painless death. To this end, she becomes involved with an underground organization that promotes lectures and classes on euthanasia in countries where assisted suicide is illegal. It is in this context that Gilda meets Amadeu, a kind and introverted funeral home employee. Despite its sensitive subject matter, "Dreaming with Lions" is a tragicomedy that addresses death with sensitivity and balanced doses of humor.
