The Official Anthem of the Municipality of Florianópolis was chosen in a contest promoted in 1965 by the City Hall of the city and the winning song was made official through the Law Project nº 800/68, presented by the then councilor Waldemar da Silva Filho, who would later become mayor. from the capital. On July 08, 1968, the project was sanctioned, becoming law nº 871. The beautiful poetry of Claudio Alvim Barbosa, known as Zininho, and the musicality of Rancho de Amor à Ilha made the Florianópolis anthem one of the most popular songs in city. Several parts of the song are painted on signs placed by the roadside in Morro da Lagoa and on the way to the north of the island.
