Synopsis:

At twenty-three, Niki de Saint-Phalle is a model and aspiring actress, married to Harry and mother to two-year-old Laura. Together, they decide to leave behind America, plunged into the paranoid spiral of McCarthyism, and head for France. At first, Paris envelops them in an atmosphere of enthusiasm, but this doesn't last long. Old, disturbing memories begin to surface for Niki.
