Church of Our Lady of Conception

Built in 1780 next to Morro da Lagoa, the Nossa Senhora da Conceição Church was elevated to the category of Sanctuary in 1999. In addition to representing Portuguese architecture on the Island, the building has two bells donated by Dom Pedro II in 1861.
